David McKown from the University of Sheffield is delighted to announce that all the arrangements are now in place for the 15th Annual Skills for Chefs Conference and the 1st Skills for Service Conference, which are to be held later this year in Sheffield.
Both conferences will run side by side with delegates attending some sessions jointly, i.e. opening and closing speakers. However, each conference will have its own series of unique business sessions. This is thought to be a great idea and it could allow for chefs and a member of the foodservice team from the same organisation to benefit from a great learning experience.
The line up is as follows:
Fred Sirieix will present to delegates from both conferences
Skills for Chefs:
Alan Murchison, Kenny Atkinson, Galton Blackiston, Shaun Rankin, Andrew Baird, Steve Smith, Mick Burke, Ben Spalding, Paul Foster, Adam Simmonds and Dr Paul Thomas (world renowned expert on truffles)
Further details can be found at: www.skillsforchefs.co.uk
Skills for Service:
Gerard Basset OBE, Esher Williams, John Dunning, Gordon Cartwright, Neil Lowrey, Neil Gardner
Further details can be found at: www.skillsforservice.co.uk
Another very special guest who will address both conferences will be announced in May, so keep an eye out for further details.
The dates of the event are 9th and 10th July 2012.
Bookings are now being taken, so please visit the website for further information or give David McKown a call on 0114 222 8907.
To recognise the new format, there will also be a ‘Cook and Serve Competition’ during the conference.
