Final speaker confirmed at TUCO 2009

The final piece of the jigsaw has fallen into place for TUCO 2009 as Raj Rana, owner of Itihaas Indian Restaurant, confirmed that he would share his experiences with delegates at the event which takes place between the 20th and 23rd of July. Raj, an entrepreneurial Young Gun of 2007, saw immediate success with Itihaas as the restaurant won accolades from Good Curry Guide and at the British Curry Awards.

And he's not the only famous visitor: there will be a special delivery at lunch on Wednesday 22 July, as the FA Cup makes a guest appearance at the Carlsberg stand in the exhibition marquee. Bring a business card along and have your photo taken with the illustrious trophy and one of your local Carlsberg reps will then deliver the photo to your door.

At the time of writing most of the exhibition stands have been sold, with only four left. If you haven’t booked your exhibition space, then contact Anne Williams on 0121 415 8419 or visit the TUCO 2009 website at www.tuco2009.bham.ac.uk

Sue McLaren, Director of Catering at the University of Birmingham, said: “We are delighted to have so many familiar faces with us but some new ones as well. It is important to have a wide range of exhibitors for a successful conference and we are pleased to say that this is the case.”

If you would like to attend TUCO 2009 as a delegate, you can contact the organisers by email at tucoenquiries@contacts.bham.ac.uk or by phone on 0121 414 3362. Alternatively you can book and pay online by going to www.tuco2009.bham.ac.uk and visiting the delegates pages.
