New TUCO President
13th August 2008
Jonathan Main was elected new TUCO president at this year's TUCO conference. He succeeds Barry Trahar, who has held the position for a number of years. Jonathan was humble about his appointment but optimistic and ambitious to continue Barry’s good work. He told University Caterer: “I’m still coming to terms with it. I stood in as Chair for a short period and I have been involved for many years. I firmly believe that TUCO is an organisation that benefits Higher Education and the members. I want to take that forward.
“There is a lot of change going on and there are tough times ahead. We have to make the most of the opportunities that TUCO can bring.” He continued, “I’m looking forward to supporting Richard as the Chair. He has brought some great energy to the organisation and I look forward to being part of the team going forward.” Look out for a full video interview with Jonathan on this site soon.
