TUCO Competitions and Training Event, Blackpool

I have had several enquiries from TUCO members concerning letters they have received from SNUPI regarding an expression of interest in the SNUPI ambient tender.

As many of you will be aware, the TUCO AGM last July gave the Chairman's Group a mandate to explore the possibility of a merger between TUCO purchasing and Scottish and Northern University Purchasing Initiative (SNUPI).

The pilot of the 3Cs Programme was held at the University of Birmingham on April 24th, with such success that future sessions are already being planned.

This year’s TUCO Competition and Training Event has been hailed as the best yet by organisers and competitors alike.

The final piece of the jigsaw has fallen into place for TUCO 2009 as Raj Rana, owner of Itihaas Indian Restaurant, confirmed that he would share his experiences with delegates at the event which takes place between the 20th and 23rd of July.

The Learning and Development Group hosted the second of its three international cookery courses at University College, Birmingham from the 17th to the 19th of February.
