In the new year Brighton and Hove will see the Kitchen Academy chefs Jethro Carr and Jonathan Coupland open up a cookery school in their home town and run adult evening classes.
TUCO learning and development group

Details of the TUCO learning and development group were approved at this year’s AGM, meaning that it can start serving the TUCO community. The group was set up in 2007, with a view to providing information on training providers for the Hospitality and Facilities Staff, within the TUCO University sector.

The Skills for Chefs conference opens on Monday 23 June with a culinary demonstration from John Willliams, Executive Chef at The Ritz. David Mckown explains: “The first thought that many people have when you mention the Ritz is a string quartet and afternoon tea, however John will showcase some of the spectacular fine dining that this world famous venue can offerâ€.
Wales and West Training Event

This Regional Training Event was a big success in March. Taking place in the Cirencester Food Centre; it provided an excellent insight into how to cater for customers with dietary requirements. Jewish, dairy free, gluten free, Vegan and other forms of specialised recipes were covered (and cooked to high standards) by those taking part, with discussions afterwards regarding any difficulties.
